Miles for Missing People 10K, London

Today, I ran the Miles for Missing People 10K to benefit the search for people who have been reported missing. I’m in London, England in between meetings with the Web Foundation Board and others in London, and a trip to Kenya on Monday for a workshop. I awoke to a cloudy, raining morning (how rare for London!), and ran up to Regents Park, about 4 miles north of my hotel.  The park is one of many beautiful spots in London in which I’ve run over the years.

Visits with Farmers and Agents of Change in West Africa

Had a fantastic trip to Burkina Faso, an inland country in western Africa.

Since the readership of this blog is deservedly low, please see my posts, with video and photos, in the World Wide Web Foundation blog:

Happy 2010! Holidays and Sunday River.

Hope everyone had a wonder holiday season.  Was great to have all kids around for much of the Christmas and New Years period.  The only road trip we took was to Sunday River, Maine for some skiing (not much, as the weather was a bit nasty for a couple of days), and relaxation in a home with a nice big room with fireplace.  A few pics are below…

SIX at 939

SIX, “Winchester’s Premier Party Band”tm played Cafe 939 last night.  It was my debut with the band.  I had a blast!  The gig was my first in public since — hmm — 1975.  Thanks to my bandmates Bruce, John, Scott, Steve C, and Walter for inviting me to join the group, and for tolerating my incompetence.  Amy took some nice photos.  I messed up badly on “Mony Mony” and messed up less badly on many other occasions. But can’t wait for the next practice and the next concert!  Rock on!
