It seems like there are better ways to implement mobile search that could work better on simple, mobile phones relative to the scheme employed by current, popular, mobile search services. Steve prototyped a mobile-useful, mobile usable directory interface for his personal use, but has not had the time to implement most of the more interesting ideas.
